Convention 2013!

I am back from Stampin' Up! Convention 2013 in Salt Lake City Utah! What a whirl wind of a week I had! Believe it or not it was my very first Stampin' Up! Convention! I have attended our Leadership conference a number of times over the years but I have never made the annual summer trip to Utah. This year my goal was to earn the incentive trip and I wanted to attend to be recognised for my achievement. I did accomplish that goal! (Thank-you again Stampin' Dolce friends for the support! ... much love to you!).

The event was made extra special with a few other amazing experiences. First ... in January 2013 Stampin' Up! asked me to participate in a video and share what I love about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The video was recorded in Florida during leadership and they played it at Convention last week.

Next, My favorite part! I had the opportunity to demonstrate on Main Stage for nearly 6000 demonstrators. Crazy right?!? I designed ten projects and had the time of my life showing them! I will be sharing them with you all over the next few blog posts in detail. I just know you are going to love them! Here is a sneak peek at my display board.

Demonstrating on Main Stage meant that I was exposed to thousands of demonstrators that attended. The amazing part of that was that I had hundreds of people stopping to talk to me, hug me, congratulate me and shower me with love. The support touched my heart. It was an experience of a life time. I am so grateful for all that made the time to talk to me. I wish I could have bottled the positive energy and love that I was surrounded by all week! Sometimes you stand in a moment and feel your life changing. You feel the power, the love and the momentum. Last week in Utah I felt this moment. I truly love what I do each day and have built wonderful relationships with so many people. I am so blessed.

getting pampered for my stage appearance!

The other days of the conference were filled with excellent classes, product demonstrations, parties, dancing and celebrating! We got sneak peeks at a few exciting new products that will be launching soon! (product that I lost my mind over!) I toured the Stampin' Up! head office and plant. It was like a Stampin' Disney Land!!!

Home Office!
At the Stampin' Up! home office! Jumping for Joy!

Being that it was the 25th Anniversary Stampin' Up! gave away more prize patrol prizes than ever before. I came home with nearly $300 in product! Good thing my suitcase was half empty travelling down!!!

96 swap cards!
Want a taste of the amazing event!? Check out the Convention 2013 highlight video here! psst ~ I made this video too with a super cool beauty shot! tehehe!

Hope you enjoyed a little window into my experience! You know ... you can always be a Demonstrator and come too! It has changed my life and made dreams come true. Even dreams that I did not know that I had!

Thank-you for all your love and support! Have a creative day!

Welcome Home Baby Banner

Last week our neighbors welcomed a Baby Boy! Each time we brought a new baby home to our neighborhood we had the fortune of having our home decorated by some special people. It was a surprise that I loved each and every time. There is a magic to coming home to welcome signs, blue (or pink) balloons and a showering of love!

The morning our neighbors came home from the hospital, my kids and I set out on a decorating mission! I had about a 30 minute window to create something and put it up! A few simple supplies made the quick and amazing decorations a breeze!

The welcome home!
I had a spool of retired Grosgrain Ribbon. Perfect tied around the door handle!
Sidewalk Chalk welcome!

Welcome flag

DIY Simple Paper Banner:
* Cut Card Stock in half to  5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
* Snip a "V" into the bottom edge of the card stock
(quick tip: Use your scoring tool and angled plate to get a perfect 45 angle)
* Use brads in each corner to attached the flags together
* Finish with some Bakers Twine on the ends to hang up

Krista's Color Scheme:
 * Whisper White
* Soft Sky
* Bermuda Bay
* Basic Gery
* Smoky Slate
* Island Indigo

My favorite part of the Simple Banner is that you can quickly and easily create this too! Minimal tools, no mess and little fuss! I did it in about 20 minutes.

Creating a surprise always feels amazing! I kept peeking out the window all afternoon, waiting on pins and needles for them to get home! I think we all need a little surprise now and then. Every day is worth celebrating!

Thank-you for visiting my blog. Have a creative day!

Tropical Wedding Banner

Summer is the season for weddings! My client and friend, Laura, is setting off on a plane this week for a tropical beach wedding. She wanted a banner that said "Thank-you". The idea is that the happy couple will take a photograph with the banner and they will send that out as the Thank-you cards! A super cute idea, right?

I could not wait to share the banner with you .. take a peek.

When I was creating this I had a lot of scrap materials left over. I was inspired to create a second mini banner with the wedding date.

I had so much fun creating this banner! The bride to be was thrilled with the colors that match her wedding theme. I am sending them much love and well wishes on their big day!!

Thank-you for visiting my blog! Have a creative day!
