September stamp club - Hello, Lovely

My September Stamp club members worked on scrapbook pages and cards using the Hello, Lovely stamp set. I have been using this set a lot lately. You may have noticed some of my other blog posts and projects with it. I think it just is the most versatile set. It can be masculine, playful and fun, feminine, elegant ... I could go on!

Well if you do not love it already .. just wait until you see this months projects!!! If you remember ... my stamp club customers have the option of creating scrapbook layouts or 2 cards. I design both projects with the same tools and supplies. Take a look!

This months technique focus was on Creped Filter Paper (129393 $3.95). This tissue look paper comes white in a package of 4 rectangles at 6" x 12" and 8 circles at 6" dia. We died the Creped Filter Paper ... here is the HOW TO DIE CREPED FILTER PAPER:

Step 1 - Cut the creped filter paper rectangle piece to 2" wide x 12" long

Step 2 - Roll the Creped paper like so ...

Step 3 - mix Classic Stampin' Ink Refill and 70% rubbing alcohol
in a Stampin' Spritzer (126185 $3.95)
(I used Calypso Coral Color)

Step 4 - Spray Creped paper on each end and let ink run down the rolled tube

Step 5 - Dip the rolled Creped paper onto a Classic Stampin' Pad
(I used Baked Brown Sugar Color)
Note: We did this technique at club and I did not want 60 people
dipping the paper on my new ink pad. So we mixed some Baked Brown Sugar Classic' Stampin' Ink Refill and a small splash of 70% rubbing alcohol in an old button container and then dipped the paper in that.

Step 6 - Un-roll the paper and use your Heat Tool (129053 $36.95) to dry.

For the project we did in club ... we cut the strip of creped paper up the center to create two 1" strips. We then gathered this over snail adhesive on our card stock to create the ruffles you see here.

Our fingers were a little coral when we were all done but it is a fun technique. One of my customers commented that it would make a cute ruffle on a dress for the Dress Up Pop Up Card Die that we sell (130101 $30.95). I think she is so right!!

Thank-you for reading! I hope you have a creative day!
