We have been on "vacation" all week. We had planned to be at our lake lot all week but last minute plans changed everything. We have been home and I wish I could say we are enjoying the heat wave.
Arturo went to work all week ... make hay when the sun shines. I worked a little in the evenings when the kids have been asleep but I have not held any events.
Jaleena had surgery two weeks ago today to extract her adult four 6 year molars. When they came in earlier this year we discovered that these teeth had malformation of the enamel. They were so badly decayed in such a sort time. Thankfully they put her to sleep and she was not awake for the extraction.
She has not been herself since the procedure. Her Anxiety and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) have been heightened. With that she is not sleeping well and is not eating very much. The doctor thinks that it was the stress of the surgery, the change of routine with school ending and the ongoing discomfort and change in her mouth.
We can not get her to leave the house or the trailer. She is frightened to go outside because of bee's. On Wednesday night she did not sleep ... at all. She was awake for 33 hours! Finally we got a prescription from the doc phoned in and she slept last night for 17 hours! Exhausted does not describe it ... for her and us.
Today we wanted her to try to leave the house. This resulted in a full out, heart breaking melt down. She was crying so hard she could not catch her breath. We had to give her an Ativan. Needless to say she did not leave.
We will try again tomorrow. Can you imagine being 7 and not enjoying the summer and all of this great weather?
With all of that over the last two weeks I have not been in the creative mood. Thankfully I have a few creations to share with you in my archives!
