Monsterific Birthday - Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Today my Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop is Monsterific! When I received the Freaky Friends Stamp Set in my September Artisan box I immediately saw a little boy birthday card.

These little dudes were so cute I just could not stop at the card! I created a gift bag to match.

The two projects took no time at all to create. Take a closer look at some of my Monsterific details.

The monster eyes are Pearl Basic Jewels colored with a black Sharpie.
Just make sure that you color the pearls before you place them on the monsters.
The @birthdayboy flag stem was stamped using the Summer Silhouettes dandelion.
The white gift bag and white tissue paper came from our local party store.
I laid the white tissue paper out on my work surface and randomly stamped the
three monsters. Just make sure you have a scrap piece of paper under.
I had a bit of ink bleed through the tissue paper when I was stamping.
I was so excited when I realized that I "just happened" to have ribbon that matched the stamped monsters! I seriously was! But then I had to giggle at myself ... after all, I do own nearly every ribbon. Reason #574 why I LOVE Stampin' Up!. Matching makes my heart happy!

I stamped the monsters on a piece of Whisper White card stock and cut it to the width of the gift bag.
I added the Washi Tape and punched banners to match the card.

I can not wait to give this gift to a little boy! It is playful and fun and will clearly be the best wrapped gift on the present table (not that I am competitive or anything!).

Next up on the blog hop is Lisa Harlow! Monster mash on over and see what she is up to!

Have a creative day!
