Leadership Artisan Samples 2015 - For the new two!

Welcome to our third week of the Artisan Design Team Leadership Samples 2015! If you have missed my previous two posts check them out here!
 Adventure Bound
 Little Sunshine

This week the product I was asked to focus on was the For the New Two Stamp Set!
For the New Two Stamp Set
This stamp set has some beautiful and romantic products that coordinate perfectly! I was so inspired that I actually created four things with this set!

I wanted to create a non-wedding project with this set to show versatility!
I am in love with this happy card!

The treat bag die for the Big Shot makes pocket cards quick and super cute!
I am a wedding gift gift card giver (say that 10 times fast), and thought this is a a great
gift card holder!

I cut down the Tag a Bag box with this project and wrapped it with the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper. I colored the Paper with a Brayer and Classic Ink Pad. The Rosette was create with the Spiral Flower Die and the Big Shot. Before I assembled the flower I colored the Designer Series Paper with Blendabilities!

This little bow came from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies.

I love the stitching on this layout! It was perfect to layer a sheet of vellum over the Designer Series Paper with out having to use adhesive.
Follow my fellow Artsians this week and see what they created for the display boards. I can say that all of the projects are stunning!

Beautiful Butterflies - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to this weeks Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are at the end of February and I could not let the month pass with out playing with the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set & Butterflies Thinlits Dies that came in our box this month!

If you follow me on social media you may have read that I was needing some color inspiration this week. I posted that I was using the Color Coach to find a new color combination. This gem is a go to for me ... do you use it?

I did find a fresh spring color combination - and I used it on these cards. When I opened my Wisteria Wonder stamp pad I found that it was shiny & new! I posted this picture and asked my followers to guess what color it was. There were many guesses ... and believe it or not, none were correct! Apparently there are a few colors that I do not use often. I think I need a color challenge!!! Post a color below in the comments that you want me to use on an Artisan project and I will select one! I do have some blog candy to give away if you play along and I will randomly select a winner from all of the entries below!! Up for grabs is a package of Pearl Basic Jewels & a new Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink Pad!

Okay - back to the cards!!! Here is a close up look at all of the romantic details on these two cards!

When I used this die for the first time I was so frustrated. Getting the butterfly out of the die was a nightmare! I have read on Pinterest that the Butterflies Thinlits Dies work best on the Big Shot with two special ingredients ... wax paper and a dryer sheet. And believe me - it is true!
Here is your sandwich recipe (working from the bottom up):

     * platform
     * cutting pad
     * dryer sheet
     * cardstock
     * wax paper
     * thinlit
     * cutting pad

This bow was created using the Painted Blooms Cotton Twine.
I separated the thick white twine into thin strands and only used a few for this bow.

I could not bring myself to throw away the wax paper butterflies so I used them on the cards. In the card above I placed the wax paper butterfly behind the Wisteria Wonder butterfly.

In the card below I left the wax paper on the cardstock (as it came from the big shot). I stapled the butterflies in the center so the pieces all stayed together. The wax paper lifts a little on some edges but I love the texture and soft color that it adds to the paper!

This butterfly technique is in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue on page 27. Here is how I did the technique ...

1.  Gently ink the blade side of your Thinlit with classic ink. Be careful to only ink the blade (that means do not press it into your ink pad, simply pat it on it). If you get ink on the back side of the metal clean it off with a Q-tip. You can see on the bottom left of my butterfly that I had ink on the metal back of my Thinlit. oops! I left it in the sample for educational purposes.

2.  Here is your sandwich recipe for the Big Shot (working from the bottom up):
     * multipurpose platform
     * standard premium crease pad
     * watercolor paper (it is thicker for this technique)
     * Thinlit
     * standard cutting pad

Up next on the blog hop is Lisa Harlow
Lisa's creative style, photography and brilliant projects never disappoint - hop on over!

Thank-you for reading today! And do not forget to comment a color below for your chance to win this weeks blog candy!! Have a creative day!

Leadership Artisan Samples 2015 - Little Sunshine Stamp Set

The North American members of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team are sharing our 2015 Leadership Sample board projects with you in this special edition blog roll!

We will be sharing our creations each Friday from February 13 to March 6! Be sure to visit each week and see all of the designs! (If you missed last week's post visit here)!

This week I am sharing the projects that I created using the Little Sunshine Stamp Set ...

I have to confess I was challenged when Stampin' Up! sent this set. Off the top I thought "baby". We are past that phase in our life; my youngest is four and we do not know very many people left having babies. I felt out of practice creating baby inspired projects.

But taking a closer look at the set I started to see a number of ideas that had nothing to do with babies!

The circles in the back ground were drawn free hand with a Coastal Cabana Stampin' Write Marker. I sewed the hearts on with my sewing machine ~ swoon!

Don't you just LOVE the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim as the rain drops??

Using the FREE Sale-a-bration Best Year Ever Designer Series paper
on this Project Life layout is ah-mazing!!

Get it? Hello Baby!!!! We were so excited to be in Caribbean!

A piece of Designer Series Paper and the Envelope Punch Board
quickly create a keepsake pocket for your Project Life layout.

My favorite pocket - I used the Confetti Heart Border Punch to create Confetti!
The circles were cut with a 1" Circle Punch and sewed together.
I actually used some glue dots and fastened the circle banner to the front of the page protector.

The back ground was created using the Hearts & Stars Decorative Masks with Sponge Daubers.

I am loving the little faces in the On Film Framelits!
