Birthday Surprise - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hello!!! Welcome to the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop! I hope you are a return follower and you come to visit us each Thursday!!

This week the Artisan Design Team is focusing on the Birthday Surprise Stamp Set! Do you have this one yet?? NO? Well you will have it on your wish list by the time you are done visiting each of the 16 Artisans on this hop!

I fussy cut the balloon for this card. The Basic Grey Bakers Twine was held in place with a small drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I used this glue to also add the "happy" to the card. You need to use the smallest amount of glue ... just a teeny wee bit! It has great holding power but too much will just make a mess of your project.
The "Happy Birthday" is from the From My Heart Stamp Set. I had to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to get the words straight. This stamp set is clear mount and that little tool is a god sent for my perfectionist personality!

I stamped the "Birthday" on a window sheet and layered it on the front of the card. You will need to use StazOn when you are stamping on window sheets.

Did you know that you can not use Black StazOn on your Photopolymer stamp sets? It will stain your polymer and StazOn Remover will damage them. Black StazOn is for red rubber only! Your best option for stamping with black and Photopolymer is to use Tuxedo Black Momento Ink

I stamped the Happy Birthday three times and used my paper trimmer to cut out the "Happy". Keep scrolling down to see what I did with the "Birthday" scraps ... I whipped up a treat bag. Couldn't let those beautiful stamped words go to waste!

I had a lot of fun creating with this set (and could not stop creating with it)! There are so many possibilities! After I created these four I kept on stamping! The set was on my desk and I used it to do a swap card for my April demonstrator team meeting.

I love the scale of the words on the set. It is very different from all of the other Stamp sets that I owe. The size of the words would make an awesome Birthday scrapbook page, don't ya think?

Next on the hop is Lisa Harlow
