Welcome to Monday everyone! A Happy 4th of July to all of my American friends!
This past weekend we celebrated Canada Day. We spent the long weekend at the cabin. Each year we decorate the yard with Canada day garb and don our Canada Day T-shirts. Our cabin village had a huge celebration with a pig roast and an amazing fireworks display on the beach. There is something magical about fireworks. My hubby said it best that night ... "we are blessed". At dinner today the kids listed all the reasons why Canada is the best country in the world. If you have never been to Canada, you should really come and visit!
I designed my card for today my for the Global Design Project GDP043 "party" theme. At the time, I interpreted the theme for a "birthday party". As I am writing this post, I realize that it could also be for Canada Day or a 4th of July party! Blonde moment! I wish I would have thought of that before!
I have to say that I was thrilled that the Bow Clips carried over to the new Stampin' Up!© catalogue. I did not order them when they were released in the recent Spring/ Summer Catalogue. After seeing them everywhere on Pinterest, I just had to have them. I love what they add to this balloon.
I am excited to see what the rest of the Global Design Project Team has created with this theme! Being the only Canadian on the design team, I suspect that there will not be any Canada inspired cards. Maybe you could create one and share it for the challenge! I would love to see it!
Click over to the GDP for challenge details, to see the design teams creations and follow the entries all week long.
Have a wonderful week my global friends!
