Classy Colors - #GDP089

Hello my friends! I am finally playing with some new Stampin' Up! stamps! The new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue will be available on June 1st, 2017. As a demonstrator, I had the opportunity to pre-order a number of things (one of the amazing perks of my job).

One of my fave new stamp sets is Lovely Friends. I am a sucker for "word" sets and a great font! The little frames make my heart sing!

I did not come up with this color combo on my own. It just happens to be the Global Design Project color challenge this week! If you love these colors, stamp along with us this week and share your project at the Global Design Project. Click here to learn more.
Thank-you for visiting. Have a creative day!

Isn't that ironic - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Don't judge a book by its cover. Never say never. Eating crow.

Welcome to the Fancy Friday May Blog Hop! Today we have been challenged to use a color combination featuring one of the five new Stampin' Up! In Colors.
When the new 2017-2019 Stampin' Up!© In Colors were released to demonstrators in April, my first reaction was less than favorable to the new "green" color. My followers will know that I usually do not craft with Bright Colors and this green isn't just bright - it is neon. It is safe to say that it was not love at first sight.

Murphy's Law - when I sat down to create for this Fancy Friday blog hop I was drawn, of course, to Lemon Lime Twist. Crow eaten.

The new Stampin' Up!© Catalogue will be available online June 1, 2017. It is bursting with new colors, paper, ribbon, accessories, tools and, of course, stamp sets! If you live in the Edmonton area, I have catalogues in stock now! Message me to arrange for your copy.

Next on the Fancy Friday Blog Hop is Shannon Lane from Crush on Colour. Shannon is a very colorful crafter, so if I was a betting woman, I would bet that she used Lemon Lime Twist today. Click over to Shannon to see what she has created.
The Fancy Friday Blog Hop comes to you the last Friday of each month. Come back and visit!

Have a creative day,

Let the paper do the work - GDP088

I set out today to CASE Shawn De Oliveira's card for the Global Design Project Challenge GDP088. I was inspired by the outlined look of the flowers that he created with paper and dies. I instantly thought to use a stamp and a Stampin' Write marker to create a similar look.

The Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper really does all of the work for you! I added a couple of layers and a greeting, and this beautiful card came together with very little effort.

DOLCE DETAILS

  1. Stamp your greeting with Whisper White Craft Ink
  2. Cover with White Embossing Powder and heat set with a Heat Tool
  3. Use the thick end of a Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline your greeting
  4. Use a Kleenex to buff off any ink that you may get on the greeting

Visit the Global Design Project to see more beautiful projects created by our design team and followers from around the globe. If you are creating this week, play along! (full details at the Global Design Project).

Have a creative day!

Colorful flowers with Touches of Texture - The Crafty Carrot Co. Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Crafty Carrot Collective blog hop! Today we are sharing projects using the Touches of Texture Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!©.

This beautiful stamp set will be our product focus for our tutorial program in June ... I will tell you more about that in a minute. Lets look a bit more at my project for the hop today!

You will love the way this stamp set layers together to give whimsical flowers. It also includes six great background stamps. The little splatter makes this artsy style easy and that cluster of alphabet letters are so stinking cute!

So back to the tutorial program from Crafty Carrot ... Canadian followers that shop with me in May will have access to our June tutorial and customer reward program. On our private VIP Facebook page, we will be sharing a tutorial each week in June using this stamp set (plus video's, contest and prize giveaways!).

You do not need to purchase this stamp set to qualify. All you need to do is place a $44 (CAD) order and use Host Code: 3N9KF3XH. Easy!

Of course you are welcome to purchase this stamp set to follow along with all of our projects (how could you resist?). We will also be using the envelope punch board, you may want to add that to your order too!

Up next on the Touches of Texture blog hop is my wonderful friend Susan Wong.

I hope you will join us in June! Shop now to have access to the fun!

Nailed It - GDP086

When I saw the Nailed It Stamp Set and coordinating Framelits, I knew that Stampin' Up! "nailed it"!.

Mother's day is coming up this weekend, which always makes me think about Father's day. Why? Well, there is a reason that Father's day comes first ... should your baby daddy fail you on this oh-so-special day, you always have the chance to return the favor on Father's day. I guess you could take the high road and do something over the top to make him feel guilty about his lack luster Mother's day effort. You choose.

All joking aside, my baby daddy has always done a great job at making me feel special and helps the kids write a love message in a card for me (store bought cards, buy hey).

If you are a mom and receive a card from your littles/ baby daddy, it is time to start planning a Father's day card for June.

The Nailed It Stamp Set is available while supplies last. Sadly, the Framelit Dies and the Designer Series Paper have been sold out. It is that time of year when Stampin' Up! retires products to make way for new items being released on June 1st. Visit my online store to see what is retiring ... many items are up to 50% off!

Each Monday I design with the Global Design Project. The challenge this week is to create inspired by this layout sketch #GDP086. Click over to the GDP to see loads of project ideas from around the world using this sketch!

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!
