My top 5 - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Fancy Friday June blog hop! Today we are sharing our top 5 new Stampin' Up! products from the newly released 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.

Drum-roll please .....

144108  |  $5.25 CAD

It really was hard for me to choose just 5 but #1 on my list is the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. I love them because they are so handy and just so stinking cute!

144128 (GOLD)  |  $8.00 CAD
(also available in Black & Silver)
You may be seeing a trend here. Another "mini"!! I heart sequins, but make them a mini and my heart sings!

141979  |  $10.75
I have had this stuff on my Stampin' wish list for ever and I was so excited to play with it! It is easy to use and adds the best texture to your project. You will also need Decorative Masks and Palette Knives to go with it ... you will find those in my online store as well.

Clear 143928  |  $29.00
Wood 143925  |  $40.00
I love the rooster!!!!! I think because it is fresh and new ... we haven't had a set like this before. I love the scratchy finish of the stamps and I always love a set that has greetings.

144177  |  $12.50
This 6x6 stack of paper is all wood patterns - to.die.for! Over the years we have had Designer Paper that has included one or two wood patterns in the pack. These were always my first used and most loved. Now to have an entire pack of 40 sheets with all wood ... swoon!

So, after all that excitement, I do have a project to share with you, and of course it uses a few of these faves!!

Are you ready to see what my friend Jennifer Frost has on her list?

Thank-you for visiting. Have a creative day!

Inspired by color - GDP093

Are you ready for a bright new color combo? The Global Design Project Challenge this week combines two new In Colors with a favorite Stampin' Up! color.

Last year my hubby bought me a beautiful blue Schwinn bike. I was inspired to use the Sheltering Tree stamp set and create a mini bike - just like mine!

Don't you love the little buttons on the tires? Those are Enamel Dots ... such a fun accent for your projects.

Click over to the Global Design Project. We have a team of talented designers that are sharing projects with this color combo. Scroll to the bottom of our page and you can view projects that our followers from around the world are creating and sharing. If you are crafting this week, snap a pic and share with us!

Have a great week everyone! It is the final week of school for us here and then it is summer break!

Watercolor Mason Jar - #GDP092

I just know you are going to be inspired to create this week when you see the challenge sketch from the Global Design Project, I know I was!

Steffi and I were on the Artisan Design Team together and I have always loved her work. She created this card for the challenge this week. I love, love, love this Jar of Love Stamp Set I could not wait to create!

Dolce Details

I filled my jar with watercolor!
First, I placed my stamp on a piece of watercolor paper, without mounting it to a clear block.

Next, I used a pencil and gently marked the outline of the stamp. This gave me a "boarder" for my water color.

I use my Heat Tool to dry the water/ ink. This pushes is around on the cardstock and creates some ridges in the watercolor finish - I love that look.

Watch this quick video for some water color tips:

Visit the Global Design Project for more beautiful projects inspired by this challenge. You are invited to share your creations with us! Learn more!

Have a creative day!

Celebrate Berry Burst - #GDP090

Happy Monday my friends! Last week I was excited about Lemon Lime Twist but today I am celebrating Berry Burst!

The new 2017|18 Stampin' Up! catalogue became available on June 1st. Each year I can not wait to get my hands on the new colors! These are the hot new 2017-2019 Stampin' Up! In Colors:

My layout today is inspired by the Global Design Project Challenge Sketch #GDP090.

The Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folders were carried over from our Spring | Summer catalogue. This was the first that I have played with them. The scale is fantastic, nice and large. The "your day" stamp paired perfectly and came from the You're So Sweet Stamp Set.

Confession - The Heart Punch that I used has since been retired! I missed that when I did my craft room clear out of retired product. As an alternative, you can use Sweet & Sassy Framelits.

I found some sewing thread in my collection that was a perfect match to the Berry Burst and Smoky Slate colors! Score!

Thank-you for visiting today. I hope you have a creative week everyone!
