Painted Autumn - Fancy Friday Blog Hop

Hello my friends! Welcome to the October Fancy Friday Blog Hop! This month we are sharing projects inspired by the Painted Autumn Suite!

Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper
Painted Harvest Bundle

I paired the Painted Harvest stamp set with the Colorful Seasons Bundle.

To create the wreath

1.  Punch a circle with the 2" circle punch, using scrap paper and use a small spot of Snail Adhesive to temporarily place on your cardstock card front.

2.  Use your stamps and stamp around the circle to create a wreath.

3.  Gently remove the temporary circle and voila, you've got a wreath!!

4. Stamp your greeting on Vellum cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. You will need to heat set the ink with a Heat Tool to dry the ink on the Vellum.

5.  Punch the Vellum with a 2" Circle Punch.

6.  Use a Glue Dot on each side to adhesive the vellum to the card stock. You will see these through the Vellum so cover these Glue Dots with flowers that you have cut using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

Card inside.

Edgy and trendy - #GDP109

The Global Design Project challenge this week is a color combo challenge! I love these challenges!! I was excited to play with these colors and jumped right into stamping ... for some reason, my brain read "Copper" and not "Gold" when I started creating and this means that I have a mega whoops on my project!

I am hoping that you can do one of two things ... forgive me or use your imagination to visualize this card with Gold rather than Copper?! Maybe???

This card has a cute fold ... cut your cardstock to 4-1/4" x 11" and score at 4-1/4" and 8-1/2".

I know that rest of the Global Design Project will have beautiful cards using this color combo, I should say the correct color combo. Click over to the Global Design Project!

Have a creative day!

Watercolor Christmas - Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Blog Hop with the Crafty Carrot Collective! Today we are sharing projects using the Watercolor Christmas Card Kit from Stampin' Up!. I have had a sneak peek at the teams projects today, and I will say it just may be our best hop yet!

To start ... I want to tell you about the Watercolor Christmas Kit.

The kit comes with with everything you will need to create 20 handmade cards,
including die cut, ready to use pieces,
embellishments and full color instructions.

$27.00 CAD   item:144649

To coordinate with this card kit, we have the Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set.

$24.00 CAD   item:144838
(wood mount also available)

Being artisans, we wanted to show you new ways to use this amazing kit and coordinating stamp set! I created 5 Christmas cards for you today ...

The kit comes with Gold Foil sheets to line the envelopes with. I used these sheets to create layers and punched accents. I added the Pool Party Baker's Twine, this was not included in the kit.

Using an Aqua Painter and Emerald Envy ink, I watercolored a background to the tag. Use a Heat Tool to speed up the drying process and then stamp your greeting with Momento Black Ink.

Using the multi-line greeting stamp, I stamped the phrase repeatedly on Whisper White Cardstock with Soft Sky ink to create a background paper. Using the same stamp, I stamped a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock with Momento Black Ink and then fussy cut out the "deck the halls".

I added a sheet of Soft Sky cardstock to the mix and used the Big Shot and the Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

If you live in the Edmonton area, I will be offering these projects as a class at my upcoming Winter Retreat on November 18, 2017. More details will be released over the next week! Stay tuned!

If your crafty and you know it - GDP108

Happy Thanksgiving weekend my fellow Canadians! I hope that you are surrounded by people you love, enjoying the long weekend!

Today I am crafting for the Global Design Project! Each Monday we share a challenge sketch to inspire you to create and play along!

Our GDP108 challenge is CASE the designer. CASE means to Copy And Selectively Edit. I chose to Copy Brian's clean straight layers and blue color scheme. You can really choose to CASE anything that inspires you about this sketch ... the colors, the layout, the heart, the apology ...

This stamp set - swoon!! If you are crafty it is a must have! I am going make cards for some of my friends that I stamp with.
