Heartfelt treats and a sneak peek! - #GDP134

Last weekend I attended Stampin' Up!'s© local conference, On Stage, in Red Deer, Alberta. I love that Stampin' Up! brings the fun of conventions to our local areas. It makes for an affordable little weekend away to see my Stampin' demonstrator friends, stamp together, experience the exciting announcements from Stampin' Up! and see all of the new products first hand!

This event marked the 30th Anniversary of Stampin' Up!. Friday night was an 80's theme party night for top achieving demonstrators. We enjoyed a delicious dinner together and were the first to receive the new 2018-2019 catalogue! We had an intimate session discussing the changes coming up (there are some exciting ones) and got to take some of the new products home!

Dale is our Canadian Stampin' Up! Manager (featured here).

Saturday was an early start and a full day of Stampin'! I had 7 of my Dolce Stampers demonstrator team attend! This treat box is what I created for each of them ...

These bright bold colors were inspired by the 80's theme of the weekend. I am so happy to say that these Acetate Card Boxes are carrying over to the new catalgoue. Did you know that you can emboss them with an embossing folder and the Big Shot? Look closely here and you can see that I used the Polka Dot Basics Folder (this will carry over too!).

The hearts were cut with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock and Berry Burst Cardstock ... again, all carry over items.

The ribbon and designer series paper will retire come May 31st, 2018. In general, all designer series papers retire each catalogue transition. Designer series paper offer new color combinations, new trends and they coordinate with new stamp sets ... all making them an exciting change each product launch.

Just a portion of the Dolce Stampers Demonstrator team!

Here are a few more highlights from the event!

Each Stampin' Up!event has "the bag".
Inside the bag was a new stamp set and a marque light board.
We NEED these bags for all of the projects that we make and, of course,
for all of the free product giveaways!
The tables are always beautiful!
Stampin' Up! does not miss a detail ... the grid paper, the stickers on the butterflies!
The bin in the center of the table is packed with new products that got to play with!
At the end of the event, we divvy up the products and everyone gets to take them home!
Afternoon snack - 30th anniversary cupcakes!
Last week I posted a few announcements from the On Stage event. Check out these blog posts:

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!

Color changes coming!

A week ago I was in Red Deer, Alberta for the Stampin' Up! On Stage conference! I had so much fun visiting with my demonstrator friends and stamping the weekend away. This conference was highlighted by the reveal of the new 2018-2019 Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue!

Now, I can not share the catalogue with you just yet - but I assure you that you are going to LOVE it!

There have been some exciting updates with the new catalogue and I wanted to share them with you! This blog post is about our upcoming color revamp!

Barn Door Crafty Carrot Co. Blog Hop

Hello! Welcome to the April Crafty Carrot Collective Blog Hop! In May we will be featuring the popular Barn Door stamp set and wanted to give you a little taste of the magic that this bundle can create!

This bundle has been designed to make this adorable barn door slide. I switched it up to create just a static card front rather than one that moves. I will have a moving barn door in my May tutorial, so you will not want to miss that!

There is a box wood wreath in the framelit set. I cut a couple out with Pear Pizzazz Cardstock and Always Artichoke Cardstock. I had to trim them to create the shrubs on my cards and then scrunched them to add texture to the paper.

I shaded the barn door with a Blender Pen and some Basic Grey Ink. It added so much dimension!

Check out the sliding door hardware that comes with the framelit set! I used a very small amount of Tombo Glue to add them to the door. Do you not just love them?!

Fathers Day Scrapbook Pages - #GDP133

Masculine projects are always a challenge for me. Thankfully every spring Stampin' Up!© releases a new suite of products to inspire Fathers Day creations. This year the suite is called True Gentleman, you can find it on page 44 and 45 of the 2018 Occasions Catalogue.

Although I love everything about this suite, I already had a Father's Day stamp set in my collection. I paired it with some of the other True Gentleman products to create a Scrapbook layout ...

My favorite paper in the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper has the pipes and mustaches. I have a little story about that print .... when I saw it in the catalogue I saw wireless ear buds! So when I opened the package after I received it, I was confused that they added mustaches to the design. LOL!

I still love the print, mustaches and all. It inspired me to get the retired Mustache Thinlit from my collection. If you are a collector and have this in your stash, I am sure you love it as much as I do. For the rest of you ... sadly, it is no longer available through my online store! <insert gasp here>.

The Global Design Project is challenging with a color combo from this True Gentleman Suite. Click over to the GDP to see what the design team has created and to follow the challenge all week long as our followers post their creations. If you are stamping, please post and share with us!

Have a creative week!
