Buffalo Check Christmas

Today's post is a throw back to my Christmas tablescape from last year (yes, last year). The ol' saying applies here ... "where does the time go".

Each year I set my studio table for my customer holiday parties, each year with a different theme. Last year, in the Christmas rush, I did not post my holiday table! I loved it so much that I needed to take a walk down memory lane and share with you ...

A holiday table must have a linen table cloth - that is pressed! A white table cloth is a necessity. Each year you can change your tablescape design and colors, but the white table cloth will remain a classic staple.

For placemats, one of my fave hacks is to use a sheet of 12x12 designer series paper. I re-purpose the paper after and use it on project still! If you end up with a spot of gravy, well you may need to scrap that portion of the cardstock, but the majority is totally usable after! I also love that this allows me to have colors and patterns that are on-trend (because Stampin' Up!© is always on trend!).

I love a table runner. It sets a landing pad for the tablescape. Because my crafting tables are so long, I opted to use a roll of kraft paper down the center of the table and then layer the smaller buffalo check fabric runner (that I picked up on Amazon).

How adorable is this oil lantern? Another Amazon find, of course!  The mini tree's came from Michaels (but you can find similar trees almost anywhere during the holidays).

Mason jars are another decorating staple. They are super affordable and come in a variety of sizes to add dimension to your table. I added pillar candles and tealights to the jars.

A holiday table needs to have party favors! Because I create these a year ago, these packaging products are no longer available in my online store. Here are some alternate packaging suggestions:

The wood rounds are, you guessed it, from Amazon. They come pre-drilled and all I needed to do was add a bakers twine bow and a stamped image. I used StazOn Black Ink to stamp the reindeer from the Dashing Deer Stamp Set (both available in my online store).

Since we are talking stamp sets and buffalo check ... did you know that Stampin' Up!© has a Buffalo Check Background Stamp?! LOVE!

This weekend I am designing and creating my Holiday table for my 2019 customer Christmas parties. Lets all think happy thoughts that I will get it posted before Christmas 2020!

Have a creative day everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
