Glitter Tattoo's Stampin' Up! Style

The fifth and final Stampin' Up! Convention presentation project that I did was all about glitter. In fact I had so much glitter inspiration that I actually squeezed 4 projects into this category. So that I can explain each technique I am going to split it up into the four glitter-ific ideas!! Are you excited or what!

The new Holiday Catalogue has glitter! I love glitter. Thursday's are my creative days in my craft room to design and prep classes. I swear, every Thursday after a day of stampin' someone tells me that I have glitter on my face. I get to tell them "oh, I was working today!" giggle. Seriously ... does your job involve glitter! BEST JOB EVER!!

When I ordered the new glitter I was immediately inspired to create glitter tattoo's. My two little girls are all about the glitter tattoo's and they were more than happy to help me experiment. We learned a little along the way but have now mastered the Stampin' Up! Glitter Tattoo!!

Step 1

Hit the dollar store and get
   - self adhesive shelf liner
   - kid craft paint brushes
   - cheap hairspray

Cut the shelf liner to small squares about 3"x3"

Step 2
Punch shapes in the shelf liner with Stampin' Up! punches to create tattoo stencils

Step 3
Peel off shelf liner backing and apply to clean skin

Step 4
Spread Eye Lash Adhesive over the exposed skin. I used an inexpensive paint brush.

Step 5
Dump Stampin' Glitter over the wet eyelash glue.
Tip - have a piece of scratch paper so you can collect the excess glitter.

Push the glitter onto the glue.

Step 6
Brush off excess glitter with a clean paint brush and remove the stencil

Step 7
To Make it last longer spray with cheap Hairspray.
My daughters even lasted through bath time!

Here are some butterfly tattoo's ...

We are just loving this! You could get creative and do multi-colored tattoo's too. My kids are a little small and do not want to sit that long ... but let your imagination run free!!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Have a creative day!

Convention Presentation #4 ~ Summer Mini Album

Summer is winding down and fall is fast approaching. Back to school is on the horizon and our to do list is long. Tuesday we did a marathon appointment day. Crazy or brilliant, I am not quite sure, but I booked all three little ones to have their eyes checked, teeth cleaned and doctors appointments ... all in one day! It was a long day but it is done! Thank-goodness!

We have had a full summer filled with memories. I am a Momma Paparazzi. I take thousands of photo's of my kids (yes, thousands). You would think with digital camera's "these days" you could just delete a few hundred, right? Nope. No way. Not for us scrapbookers! You can never have enough images! Every smile, every facial expression, every ice-cream cone ... am I right?

I love mini albums for all these pictures. Quick, quirky, simple, and dare I say organic (some are feeling the over use of that word, but not me! love it!). So when Stampin' up! asked me to present on main stage at Convention in July I knew I had to include one in the mix. So here is my fourth Convention presentation project ... a summer mini album. It was perfect for our July long weekend memories. And I have to say it went together in a flash!

My presentation focus on this project was about product versatility. See if you can spy the products from our Holiday Catalogue that I used ...

The album has 11 double sided pages inside. Each page is a sheet of card stock or designer series paper cut to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (half a sheet of card stock).

left page is the front cover inside. right page is page #1
page #2 & #3
page #3 & #4
page #5 & #6
page #7 & #8
page #9 & #10
page #11 & #12
page #13 & #14
page #15 & #16
page #17 & #18
page #19 & #20
page #21 & #22
I created the front and back cover of this album using the white packing paper that comes with our designer series paper (yes the free stuff you hoard looking for something to do with ... do not tell me you throw yours away!! gasp!). You can see in the photo above the writing on the paper. I left the ugly side exposed so you can see what I am talking about (you do not want to do that! wink!). I cut the cover sheets a bit larger that the interior sheets (size as noted above) and used a glue stick to cover with designer series paper.

Inside pages have a little stampin', some designer series paper flags, some lace tea doilies, burlap bows and envelope pockets. Washi tape is fastening all my pics in place.

Here is the supply list and project tips!:

My 10th wedding anniversary!

Over the weekend my husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. 10 YEARS! CRAZY! Yes, I am young ... we got hitched when I was 23. And No, I was not pregnant! Arturo was 30 and we were in love and could not wait. Our wedding day was perfect. We were surrounded by our friends and family. We talked about the life time to come and we were full of hopes and dreams. After ten years I truly love my husband and feel very blessed for the life we live. He is my best friend, my biggest cheerleader and my soul mate.

When we were planning our wedding I had the idea that I wanted to make my own wedding invitations. I took a few classes and discovered my love for paper crafting ... then I attended my first Stampin' Up! party at my Aunts house. You all know what happened then. I was a HOOKED!!!

Now I did not become a demonstrator then and there (although I should have .. I could have save a lot of money with my demonstrator discount!!) but I was a very loyal customer. For years I had parties and stamped monthly in a stamp club. It was not until we had our first daughter that I decided to join the Stampin' Up! family. I wanted the discount above everything. My maternity leave income meant that we did not have room in the budget for my Stampin' addiction. (gasp, I KNOW!) I thought I would do a few shows, have a little club and make some money (that I fully intended on investing on Stampin' Up! product). That planned worked, for a while. As my business grew, so did our family. When our third babe was born we decided I was going to stay home. I left my Architecture career and started to do this Stampin' thing as a new career!

Being a career Stampin' Up! demonstrator takes two when you have three little kids. Arturo spends endless evenings doing bedtime routines alone, while I do classes and parties. He works the single dad routine when I travel to Convention and Leadership conferences. When he talks about Stampin' Up! it is "we" and "us" ... "we" earned the incentive trip, "we" earned a performance bonus, "we" got recruit ... and I love that. I could not do this with out his support. I love what I do as a demonstrator. I love my Stampin' friends, I love to be creative, I love to socialise, I love to travel ... and because of him I get to do all of those things and more!

I just had to make this special man a Anniversary card and share with you all.

Thank-you for listening to me gush and take a walk down memory lane. I hope that today finds you happy and with some love in your life! Have a creative day!
