REMIX! TGIF05 - monthly challenge remix!

Welcome to #TGIF05 dawg!

It's the remix to ignition. Hot and fresh out the kitchen. Momma rollin that body got every man in here wishin. Sipping on coke and rum. I'm like so what I'm drunk. It's the freaking weekend baby I'm about to have me some fun!
           R.Kelly

That was the best remix reference I could think of! Welcome to remix week! Over the month of May the TGIF design team have shared four layout challenges with you. Today, the last week of May, we take all of those sketches and remix em'!

I decided to remix the Pool Party, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral color challenge (TGIF01) with the layout sketch from TGIFC02.

I watercolored the background and the stripes on the banner. The stamp set is called Build a Birthday and is a sneak peek of a new stamp set that will be available on June 2, 2015. (I hope you are getting excited to see the new catalogue! It is amazing!).

Now you need to make your own remix! Pick any two challenges from May and create a little somthin' and share it on the TGIF site!

Want to see what everyone is creating with the remix?

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!

Floral grid journal - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the weekly Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team blog hop!

During the month of May we have been sharing some sneak peek products with you. The wait is almost over! Starting June 2, 2015 customers will be able to shop the new 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue. That means YOU can get your hands on these fun new toys next week!

I created this grid journal recently for our trip to Hawaii. We flew to Waikiki for the Stampin' Up! grand vacation a few weeks ago. This little journal was perfect to write down all of the wonderful family memories we made ... except one problem.

This is the journal that I brought home! Oops! In my defense I get my daughter to journal each day. So my new plan is that I will read hers and make mine up as I go. You win some you loose some I guess!

I tied the new Mint Macaroon ribbon around the album and tied it in a simple knot. Multiple pieces of Linen Thread were tied together around the ribbon in a bow. The tails were curled with a Bone Folder (think of it like curling ribbon).

I thread a number of Whisper White Buttons on a piece of Linen Thread and tied a knot to hold in place. They are so sweet dangling from the thread.

The flower was stamped with the You've Got This Stamp Set. Use the Stampin' Buddy to pat the book cover. Stamp the flower in Versa Mark and cover with White Embossing Powder. Heat set with your Heat Tool and use a Kleenex to wipe away the Stampin' Buddy powder. I used Blender Pens to watercolor the flower in Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzaz.

You have to know that these grid journals are on SALE!!! They have been added to the weekly deals from May 26 - June 1, 2015!!! Canadian followers can shop my store 24/7!

Next on the blog hop is the beautiful Lisa Harlow.

Floral Fun - TGIF Challenges #TGIFC04

TGIF! Have you been playing along with the weekly challenges? It has been so much fun to watch what people have been creating!

Here is this weeks challenge sketch ... and visit TGIF Challenges to see all of the entries!

When I got this sketch I had to message James & Mercedes (TGIF creators) and ask them what the challenge was. I guess I am the kind of person that needs rules to follow. They said it can be anything that inspires me from this sketch. Oh, great! Now what!

I took the obvious - flowers. Here is what I whipped up!

The floral back ground was stamped with the Choose Happiness Stamp set. After I stamped it I sponged each color over the flowers and branches. The color scheme is Very Vanilla, Pear Pizzaz, Hello Honey and the new Watermelon Wonder.

So - what will you create this week? Take the challenge and post your creation here!

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!

In Color Flower Decor - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! This week we are sharing our monthly Facebook Project designs with you!

Today I get to share the upcoming 2015-2017 In Colors! These 5 hot new colors will be available for two years starting this June. Get ready to fall in love ...

I created this frame to show off the colors in all of their glory! The frame came from Ikea. I have to say that is my fave place to buy frames for my crafty projects. They have the best prices and current trends!

I added a piece of Whisper White cardstock, cut to fit the frame, as my background. The work comes rolling all of these flowers. The Stampin' Up! Spiral Flower Originals Die makes cutting the flowers out. Follow the instructions with the die and use a hot glue gun to set them.

I did add a strip of carstock with coordinating colors to the background of each flower row. I did not like to see the white cardstock between.

I love new trends and new color! I can not wait for you to be able to purchase these juicy new colors come June 2, 2015!

Next on the hop is Lisa Harlow

Congrats Grad - TGIC Challenge #TGIFC03

TGIF!!! Thank Goodness It's Friday! and Thank Goodness It's Fun!!

Today is the weekly design challenge from TGIF Challenges where yours truly is a designer! Check out this weeks challenge sketch, Congrats Grad ...

I have to say that I have yet to make a graduation theme card! When someone graduates I generally have made a generic "congratulations" card. I had fun taking this challenge!
I went with the school/ office theme here. My fave element has to be the lined paper on the front. I had started the layout by using an actual sheet of lined paper but it was too translucent and thin. You all know that Stampin' Up! has the best quality card stock and that paper just did not fit. I decided to use a sheet of Whisper White Card Stock and a ruler along with Stampin' Write markers in Soft Sky and Calypso Coral to create the look. Punch along the side with the Spiral Boarder Punch and voila!

I kept it clean and simple inside the card.

I hope I have inspired you to take the challenge! To see all the challenge details and to browse the gallery of submitted designs visit TGIF Challenges! We are here every Friday sharing our designs and issuing the challenge to YOU!

Thank-you for reading! Have a creative day!

Cucumber Crush - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the second week of May! Everyone is buzzing about all of the new samples with sneak peek products that the Artisan Design Team have been creating this month. The new 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue will launch in June ... wanna see some more sneak peeks?!?!?!

This week I played with Cucumber Crush ... one of the five new In Colors that will be coming. It is so bright and fresh!

It paired perfectly with Night of Navy ... a color that I will admit I do not use all that often!

Behind the word "best" I punched the Chevron Border Punch with Silver Foil Sheets. I tucked them in to make it look like a little arrow. I did a little water coloring on the back ground and layered a few scraps of paper to finish it off. Simple and sweet!

Do you have a new favorite In Color yet?

Continue on our blog hop to see a load of ideas, all with sneak peek products!

Next is Lisa Harlow. Each week I can not wait to see what Lisa creates ... she is amazing!!
