Watercolor pool party & copper - GDP044

Welcome! To start the week, I am sharing a card for the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP044!

The challenge is to CASE the talented Steffi Helmschrott. To CASE means "Copy and selectively edit". Steffi and I are on the current Stampin' Up!© Artisan Design Team together. I am continually inspired by her whimsical creations.

I actually created this card for the Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Cruise grand vacation recently. I have not had the chance to share it on the blog yet and I thought that it matched the challenge this week perfectly!

There is always a card swap on the Stampin' Up! vacation. The swaps are always amazing (after all, the top demonstrators are on this trip). We have to make 26 swaps. Stampin' Up! collects them, swaps them and then distributes them to us. There are WAY more than 26 demonstrators on the ship so we just get a group of cards. (How they coordinate this all is beyond me).

Anyway, we drop our swaps off to Stampin' Up!, as I said. This year we had to do that on the first day of the cruise. I got sidetracked with the kids at kids club and did not make it in time to drop them off. Sadly, I missed the swap! Can you believe it?!?!? I had the Ziploc with all of these beautiful cards in my cabin! Palm to forehead!

Lets get back to the card, shall we? I used Shimmer White Cardstock for the watercolor base. I love the way that it watercolors! Have you tried it yet?

Once the watercolor was dry I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark© and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing Powder. It goes so well with the Pool Party color!

Click over the the GDP to see the creations from the global design team. I have had a sneak peek and they are ah-mazing! All week long, you are invited to create and post. Full challenge details are over at GDP.

Have a great week my friends!
