A Moroccan Christmas card- Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to another Artisan Design Team blog hop! Today we get to do an open post and create with anything from our Artisan supply box that we desire. I love using a stamp set in a new way and was inspired to use the Moroccan Nights Stamp Set for a Christmas Card.

What do you think? Does the Moroccan Nights Stamp Set feel Christmas on this card? My thought was that it could look like a large snowflake. I added the Wink of Stella splatter and White Perfect Accents to add more snow feeling.

Next up on the blog hop is the talented Marisa Gunn.

Come back for the next Artisan blog hop on September 14th, 2016.

Have a creative day!

A poppin' popcorn party! - GDP051

Welcome everyone! In July I hosted a Stampin' Up! bingo party for my customers. I had so much fun with the decor and goodies! My customers game for an evening to play good old fashioned bingo and enjoy some treats.

One of the most important details to my popcorn party is the Ready to Pop Stamp Set. This stamp set has a coordinating Thinlit die and can be purchased as a bundle to save 10%. The thinlit makes the cutest popcorn boxes. I was working on a budget so, sadly, I only purchased the stamp set. (Proof that demonstrators do not own everything in the catalogue).

These Stampin' Up! Kraft Gift Bags are 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" and were perfect to serve my popcorn treats. I kept the bag tags simple by using 2" strip of Whisper White Cardstock punched at each end with the Banner Triple Punch.

My party favors for the guests were these Clear Tiny Treat Boxes filled with popcorn seeds (complete with stove top popping instructions).

When I grew up my Mom always made popcorn on the stove top. You poor your popcorn seeds into a large stove top pot (enough to cover just the bottom with a single layer of seeds). Add a little vegetable oil in the bottom of the pan, enough to cover the seeds. Cover the pot with a lid and turn your heat to high. When the seeds start to pop, gently shake the pot over the element back and forth until the popping starts to subside. Remove from the heat and poor into a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and enjoy!

In Canada we call "soda" pop. When I thought of these belly bands for these pop cans I was giddy! I mean, come on!! The cuteness!

So what is Stampin' Bingo??

Each of my customers in attendance received a Stampin' Up! product swag bag valued at $25. I had 12 guests register and we played 12 games of Bingo. Each game winner received a Stampin' Up! product as a prize. We took a break half way through our Bingo night and created two make and take projects. There was a lot of excitement and everyone went home with a bag full of products and make and takes!

The swag bag bag for this event included:
Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper, Kraft Tag a Bag Gift Bags,
Gold Binder Clips, Thick Bakers Twine

The Bingo Game Prize's.

Blogging this party has been on my to do list for a couple of weeks. The Global Design Project challenge PGD051 this week is "food". A perfect reason to get it posted!

You are invited to take the challenge all week long. You do not need to create a complete party spread to play along. Stamp a card (or anything at all) and share with us! #GDP051.

I will be having a Winter Bingo event on September 27, 2016 at 7:00pm. The swag bag and prizes will feature new exciting items from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue (launching September 1, 2016). Registration is $45 per guest. Contact me to reserve your spot! Space is limited to 12 guests.

Thank-you for visiting. Have a creative week!

Apothic Mason Jar - Fancy Friday

Welcome to the August Fancy Friday Blog Hop everyone! This month our fancy inspiration is from this sketch ...

So many beautiful things spoke to me from this challenge. I love working with Mason Jars and could not pass up the opportunity to get florally with one (is florally a word?).

Ekkkk ... I am so excited about this project!!!!

I have labeled this an apothic jar. To me that just means pretty ... right? Here is a quick video to show you the jar all the way around.

Here are some more photographs of the jar:

There are only a few supplies to create these flowers. You will need Very Vanilla Cardstock, your Big Shot Machine & the Botanical Builder Framelits & coordinating stamp set (see product links below).

These are the Classic Ink Pads from Stampin' Up! that I sponged the cardstock with to create the flowers and leaves.
Tie a bit of ribbon around the jar and you are all set! I think this would be so cute on a table at a bridal shower, a special lunch or tea date, at your Easter table ... where would you place this apothic mason jar?

Next on the Fancy Friday Blog Hop is the talented and fancy Cathy Caines.
The Fancy Friday team will be back with another blog hop on September 30th. Come back and visit!

Have a creative day,

finally playing with the foxy friends - GDP050

One of my first "must haves" from the 2016/17 Stampin' Up! Catalgoue was the Foxy Friends Stamp Set & Fox Builder Punch. After owning it for over two months I decided that it was finally time to play with it. Looking at the 29 stamps in the set I was overwhelmed. Faces, eyes, tails, legs, bodies ... but what animals are these supposed to be? I discovered that the Stampin' Up! Catalogue has four critter ideas on page 56, but there had to be more to it. So, I logged onto Pinterest and found 362 other ideas (give or take).

Once I started to see all of the stamps come together as little animals I was so inspired! I settled on a raccoon for my Global Design Project card today.

I cut the two banners from the A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper. The raccoon's flag was created with the Classic Label Punch and the Thoughtful Banners Stamp Set.
Each Monday the Global Design Project issues a challenge. This week the challenge is to create something inspired by this layout sketch. Stampers from around the world are invited to create and share their projects all week long using #GDP050. Click over to the GDP for all of the challenge details.

Thank-you for reading! Have a creative day!

Back to school with the TGIF team - #TGIFC69

Here in Canada we are 12 days away from school starting (not that I am counting). My patience is wearing a little thin with the three kids home all day. They are sick of each other and picking on one another like cats and dogs. If I hear "MOOOM" yelled one more time I swear I may loose my mind. On top of all that, I am still trying to run a business from home. I am looking forward to dropping them off at 8:24 AM and heading home to attack my to do list in peace and quiet (and guilt free).

The TGIF Challenge this week is back to school inspired. When I created my card for this challenge I was thinking of my mommy friends. This card is for them. Back to school is always a happy day! I may just gift it with a bottle of wine to a deserving mom!

I thought that the new Classic Label Punch was perfect for a pencil! Here is how I brought it to life ..

Are you excited for the kids to return to school? Or are you one of the amazing moms or dads that loves having the kids home for the summer break?

Click over to the TGIF Challenges and see what the design team has created. You are invited to play along and share your project with TGIF. We would love to have you!

Have a creative day!
