Copper dipped feather - TGIFC71

School started yesterday on a Thursday. That made it feel like a Monday. Today is Friday and feels like a Tuesday. The cherry on top is that Monday is a Holiday so we have a long weekend! TGIF baby!

I could not have been happier dropping my children off a school yesterday. The moment I realized that summer needed to end was Wednesday afternoon in Costco. We had done a $750 shopping trip with two full shopping carts. The trip consisted of pushing, wrestling, hair pulling and yelling. When we got to the till, I had forgotten my credit card pin. I was moved to customer services to call the credit card company and reset the pin. During the phone call they started to pinch and scratch each other, run around the store and bite! (The kids, not the credit card company). They are 9, 8 and 5 and they were biting each other! What in heck?!

Many parents just looked at me and grinned (the "been there" look). At one point I said to a women "I am glad those are not my kids". By the time I got the guy on the phone from the credit card company I was at my wits ends. He was going to redirect me to another department and I told him, as calmly as I could, to please do what he could, right now, so that I did not murder my children in Costco. He burst out laughing and said he had kids as well. He reset my pin in record speed, thank God!

Oh, but it gets better. With all of that award winning behavior, there would not be a stop for a hot dog and ice-cream. This left 3 kids screaming and crying their way out of the store. At that point I decided to start counting hours until school drop off. 17 hours to be exact.

I survived (and so did they) and now they are all at school. I am happily working in peace and quiet. TGIBTS (Thank God It's Back To School)!

This is a great color combo challenge this week! I rarely use Rich Razzleberry and I just opened my new Sweet Sugarplum stamp pad. I was fun to pair them together!

Copper is hot with any color but the with the pink .... shut the front door! I smushed my feather into a VersaMark Pad, dipped it into Copper Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. See this short video to learn how:

I frayed the new Rich Razzleberry ribbon from the 3/8" Ribbon Trio Pack in the 2016 Holiday Catalogue. (Click here to see the new Holiday Catalogue!)
