Christmas-y Challenge - Fancy Friday blog hop

Hello everyone! We are running a week late with the October edition of the Fancy Friday blog hop, but we are still here! And this week, we are sharing Christmas-y projects!

For this challenge I was inspired to create a few Christmas ornaments. Take a peek!

The new Dashing Deer Bundle was perfect for this Popsicle sled ornament that I created.

The garland here was created with the Sprig Punch (holiday catalogue) and Pretty Pines Thinlits (annual catalogue).

I can not take credit for this adorable tree. Shelli Gardner, the co-founder of Stampin' Up!, created and shared this on the Alaskan Cruise this past summer. I loved it so much I just had to CASE it and create my own.

I am excited to announce that you can create these adorable ornaments at my upcoming Stampin' Dolce day long stamping event on November 17, 2018!

Continue hopping with the Fancy Friday design team! Up next is the talented
have had a sneak peek of her project and it is fantastic!

Thank-you for following the Fancy Friday Blog Hop! We are back on November 29th for our next showcase! Be sure to come back and visit!

Have a creative day!

Watercolor Christmas - Crafty Carrot Co Blog Hop

Welcome to the October Blog Hop with the Crafty Carrot Collective! Today we are sharing projects using the Watercolor Christmas Card Kit from Stampin' Up!. I have had a sneak peek at the teams projects today, and I will say it just may be our best hop yet!

To start ... I want to tell you about the Watercolor Christmas Kit.

The kit comes with with everything you will need to create 20 handmade cards,
including die cut, ready to use pieces,
embellishments and full color instructions.

$27.00 CAD   item:144649

To coordinate with this card kit, we have the Watercolor Christmas Stamp Set.

$24.00 CAD   item:144838
(wood mount also available)

Being artisans, we wanted to show you new ways to use this amazing kit and coordinating stamp set! I created 5 Christmas cards for you today ...

The kit comes with Gold Foil sheets to line the envelopes with. I used these sheets to create layers and punched accents. I added the Pool Party Baker's Twine, this was not included in the kit.

Using an Aqua Painter and Emerald Envy ink, I watercolored a background to the tag. Use a Heat Tool to speed up the drying process and then stamp your greeting with Momento Black Ink.

Using the multi-line greeting stamp, I stamped the phrase repeatedly on Whisper White Cardstock with Soft Sky ink to create a background paper. Using the same stamp, I stamped a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock with Momento Black Ink and then fussy cut out the "deck the halls".

I added a sheet of Soft Sky cardstock to the mix and used the Big Shot and the Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

If you live in the Edmonton area, I will be offering these projects as a class at my upcoming Winter Retreat on November 18, 2017. More details will be released over the next week! Stay tuned!

simple party favors - GDP082

Last week I hosted my annual Spring Retreat. At this daylong Stamping event I spoil my customers with a swag bag full of Stampin' Up! goodies and a little party favor treat. The Cupcakes & Carousel Embellishment Kit let me make adorable party favors in no time! You will love the products from this kit.

In this kit you will receive:
2 yards Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre Ribbon
2 yards Pool Party/ gold Baker's Twine
2 yards So Saffron/ gold Baker's Twine
8 Very Vanilla Tassels
8 Pool Party paper bows
8 Very Vanilla/ gold foil labels (3-1/2" x 2")
12 sequins - gold & iridescent mixed

That is an incredible value of $15.75 (cad)!

For my swag bags, I added a 2" x 6" strip of Cupcakes & Carousel Designer Series Paper behind my tag. I fastened it to the gift bag with a Gold Binder Clip (these clips are not in the embellishment kit but they are so pretty and match, I could not resist).

These tags were inspired by the Global Design Project Challenge #GDP082
Each week the GDP issues a challenge. You are invited to play along! Visit the GDP for more details to see dozens of projects inspired by this sketch.

I gave each guest a little chocolate treat at their work space. These do not really match the Global Design Project Challenge but I knew you would want to see them.

These treat pockets are created with one sheet of 6x6 Designer Series Paper. They do not require any adhesive at all and take seconds to make! I have shared this pattern before on the blog - Click here to see full instructions.

Thank-you for visiting. Have a creative day!
