Have a foxy Valentine's day!

Happy Valentine's day to you! I wanted to stop share a quick little valentine card that I created today. I have been stamping a lot and have been in a happy, creative groove. I did not purchase any products from the Valentines product line in the Spring Occasions Catalogue from Stampin' Up! so I was in search of stamps that I owned that could make a cute valentine.

Foxy Friends Stamp Set + Fox Builder Punch

$50.75 CAD

I have to admit that I am a punch girl. My Big Shot holds a special spot in my heart but I love the quick use of a handheld punch.

Want to see what my kids created for Valentine's to take to school?? We stamped 70 of these and then they spent the weekend coloring them and adding names. It was a great family activity.

I hope that you are having a wonderful day. Tell someone you appreciate them today and spread the love!

You Lift Me Up

I just celebrated my 10 year anniversary with Stampin' Up! Can you believe that I have had monthly stamp clubs for 10 years now!?

My first stamp club started as soon as I became a demonstrator. I had joined a New Moms Network with our oldest daughter when she was born. I quickly found that most of the moms in the group loved to craft and scrapbook. My first club came from these ladies.

Over the years my clubs have grown and changed. I've run as many as 5 stamp clubs a month! I think that I owe my stamp club success to a few things:

pick your project

There are those of us that love a good scrapbook page. There are those that love to create handmade cards. And we can not forget the Project Lifers! I design all three and you get to pick what you want to create!

My layouts are missing pictures buuuut that is because February has just started. We all take photos, right? Our smart phones are full. Last year I started printing those photos (shocker). I sit down at the end of each month, download them from my iPhone and print them. I will have photos in these layouts at the end of February once I have captured our memories this month.

friendships & flexibility

Stamp clubs are as much about friendships as they are about the projects. Some stampers join with friends but we all become friends by the end of the stamp club year (sappy but so true!). At all stamp clubs I offer all three projects. That way you can be in a club with a friend, even if you are not creating the same make and take projects.

Running multiple clubs, all creating the same projects, means that I can offer makeup classes to you in the event that you can not attend.

top notch design & style

I held a position on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team for two years, and as a result, I am an expert in paper crafting and am known for my style and beautiful projects. I can assure you that you will not be disappointed and that you will learn a variety of tips and techniques plus play with the latest in paper crafting products.

The good news is that I have a few spots available for the 2017 Stamp club season! Join us on February 28th and see what it is all about!

I hope you are having a wonderful week! Have a creative day my friends!

I am LOVING everyday hero - GDP073

Love is in the air! Have you thought about crafting some Valentine's this year? Valentine's day isn't just for lovers. Create some "non-traditional" Valentine's and send them to your friends and family. I had the brilliant idea (if I do say so myself) to pair the "love is in the air" greeting and the clouds from the Lift Me Up stamp set with the playful and fun comic book inspired Everyday Hero stamp set

The graphics and fonts coordinate and make these two stamp sets perfect together.

I colored my superhero with Classic Stampin' Pads and a Blender Pen to give it a soft, watercolor look. Peekaboo Peach was perfect for her skin tone. I used a Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to color her outfit and give it a shimmery look. The little heart in her hand was punched with the Owl Builder Punch, which also got a coat of Wink of Stella over it.

I did something new for my card inside today. I stamped the city skyline and the clouds on the Smoky Slate Cardstock with Basic Grey. I cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 3"x4" and stapled it onto the card.

My color combo today was inspired by Global Design Project Challenge #GDP073. These colors ... man I tell you - they were definitely a challenge. I am excited to see what the rest of the design team and are followers come up with them this week. I have to say that this is the first time I have used Emerald Envy!

As I was designing my card, I had a few rejected ideas on the cutting room floor. I did not want them to go to waste so I put them together for a bonus card for you today ...

This card is "Stepped down", using less embellishing and techniques. My super girls is simply colored direct to paper with Stampin' Write Markers, skipping the Blender Pen technique and coloring her skin. I changed the background cardstock to Night Of Navy to try something different. I really like the addition of this color to the GDP combo of Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight and Emerald Envy.

If you are stamping this week the Global Design Project would love to see what you come up with using this color challenge. I am sure you are curious to see what the rest of the design team creates with these challenging colors!  Click over to the GDP to learn more

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!
