TGIF color challenge! Bring it on! #TGIFC01

I recently was asked to join a design team for TGIF Challenges. I jumped at the chance to enjoy the fun! This is a new site that is just as it sounds ... a challenge site! There is a super star line up of designer that will create projects based on a weekly challenge. We will share these with you each and every Friday.

The design teams intent is to inspire you. The challenge part is where you come in! You will have until Wednesday to complete the challenge by creating a project and sharing it with TGIF Challenges! I know what you are thinking ... the timing is perfect! This gives you loads of time, even the weekend, to sneak away to the crafting space you have and play along! You are welcome!

So lets get this party started! Here is this weeks challenge sketch ...

This is a color challenge!!! Here is what yours truly dreamed up ...

Birthday cards are my favorite to create (and I can never have enough)! Plus, I love a stamp set that has a matchy-matchy Big Shot Framelit for cutting. Swoon!

I used Silver Encore Ink & Silver Embossing Powder for the stars in the background. The balloon is stamped in Calypso Coral but I used the "stamp off" technique. Have you heard that term before? Might just be the simplest technique going.

* ink your stamp with Calypso Coral ink
* stamp off the ink on a piece of scrap paper
* stamp the image on your "good" paper
(do not re-ink the image between stamps)

This will give you the same color but a touch lighter. I think it gave my balloon a translucent appearance! Cool, right?!

So what do you think? Are you inspired to take the challenge?? These colors are totally fab and you will love creating with them (I know it)!! I can not wait to see what you do!

Hop over to the TGIF site to see what the other designers have created!

Thank-you for visiting! Have a creative day!
